Calories v Energy

I have had a good week of running. Just finished it off with a six mile run.
6.0 miles 
I am happy with that! I haven't run six miles in a while.

Calories v Energy

I got a care package from my brother in Australia a few days ago, and looked at the nutritional information on the packages of my goodies. No calories, instead we have energy. Now, I am fully aware it is the same thing, but you have to admit that it is a much nicer way of saying it. And the energy is measured in kilojoules. Who the heck knows what a kilojoule is? So, I have decided to stop looking at calories. They are an evil number, that just makes you feel bad about yourself. Eat in moderation, enjoy your food, and exercise!

getting ready to get serious

Ok.  I am a terrible blogger!  Luckily, no one is reading this!

Back to the gym today:
4 mile work out:
1 minute @ 6.7
30 seconds @ 8.5

Felt good!  I started at a 1.0 incline, then wimped out after about 10 minutes to 0!  Oops!  Will work on that.

I have decided that June 1st will be the day I am going to be serious about my running.  I will get into training mode!  For now, I am wanting to run about 4 to 5 miles as an average run.   Let's see how this goes!
